First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether spraying sucralfate (a drug used for stomach ulcers) on colon polyp removal wounds can prevent delayed bleeding better than the standard method of placing clips. The trial will include 160 patients who take blood thinners and have large polyps (≥1 cm). After polyp removal, half will get the sucralfate spray and half will get clips, then they will be monitored for bleeding for 28 days.
