First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether spraying sucralfate (a stomach ulcer medicine) on the wound after removing a colon polyp can prevent delayed bleeding better than the usual clipping method. It includes 160 patients who take blood thinners and have large polyps (≥1 cm). Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the sucralfate spray or clips, then monitored for 28 days for any bleeding.
