First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a bendable wire (stylet) inside the breathing tube helps doctors place the tube correctly on the first try in critically ill patients. Over 1000 adults in intensive care who needed emergency breathing support took part. The goal was to see if the stylet reduces complications and improves success rates.
