First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether using opioid-free anesthesia during mastectomy can lower the chance of chronic pain one year after surgery. Researchers will compare this approach to standard opioid-based anesthesia in 230 breast cancer patients. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups, and their pain levels will be tracked using a questionnaire. The goal is to find a safer way to manage pain after mastectomy.
