First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how certain natural chemicals, called endocannabinoids, influence the growth of new fat cells from stem cells found in belly fat. Researchers will take small samples of fat tissue from 30 people undergoing abdominal surgery, including those with obesity and diabetes. The goal is to understand these processes better, which could lead to new treatments for obesity and type 2 diabetes in the future.
