Scientists hunt for genetic clues to drug side effect in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT02610413

Summary

This study aims to understand why some breast cancer patients develop severe high blood pressure as a side effect of the drug bevacizumab. Researchers will analyze the DNA of 354 patients who either did or did not develop this side effect during a previous clinical trial. The goal is to find genetic markers that could predict a patient's risk, helping doctors manage treatment more safely.
