Rare immune disorder study aims to unlock t cell mysteries
NCT ID NCT02015013
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at a rare condition called idiopathic CD4 lymphocytopenia (ICL), where people have very low levels of important immune cells. Researchers will give a drug combination to both ICL patients and healthy volunteers to collect their blood stem cells. These cells will be studied in mice and in lab tests to learn more about how T cells mature and move through the body. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to treat it directly.
