Your genes may hold the key to cancer risk and treatment success
NCT ID NCT02280161
First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study collects blood and saliva samples from 2000 cancer patients to learn how inherited genetic changes influence cancer risk, tumor behavior, and response to treatment. By comparing these samples with large genetic databases, researchers hope to better understand why some people develop cancer and why treatments work differently for different people. The study does not offer a direct treatment but aims to improve future cancer care through knowledge.
