Fetal cells in moms may hold key to healing stubborn wounds
NCT ID NCT06031714
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at fetal cells that remain in a mother's blood after pregnancy to see if they help heal skin ulcers. Researchers will compare cells from healthy postpartum women and those with ulcers (like diabetic or sickle cell ulcers). The goal is to understand which genes are active in these cells, which could lead to new treatments in the future.
