New heart test could make artery checks safer and faster

NCT ID NCT06273293

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at a new method to check blood flow in heart arteries after treatment in patients with blockages in multiple vessels. The new method uses a special wire and a drug (nitroglycerin) instead of the standard drug adenosine, which can cause side effects. Researchers will compare the new method to the standard one and track heart problems over one year. About 150 adults with multiple heart blockages will take part.
