Summary

This study tested whether adding a drug called dexmedetomidine to standard spinal anesthesia could reduce acute nerve pain after a leg amputation. Thirty adults having elective leg amputation took part. The experimental group received the extra drug, and researchers measured pain and block duration for 48 hours after surgery.
