First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a stroke unit designed for local needs in Zambia could improve care and survival for 300 adults with stroke. Researchers compared the care and outcomes of these patients to a similar group treated before the unit opened. The goal was to see if more evidence-based practices were followed and if fewer patients died in the hospital or within 90 days after discharge.
