New stroke procedure trial aims to restore function after medium artery blockages
NCT ID NCT07336927
Summary
This international trial is testing whether a minimally invasive procedure to directly deliver clot-busting medicine into a blocked brain artery is better than standard medication alone for certain stroke patients. It will enroll about 614 adults who have had a stroke due to a blockage in a medium-sized brain artery and who cannot receive the standard intravenous clot-busting drug. The main goal is to see if the procedure helps more patients achieve excellent recovery with minimal disability 90 days after their stroke.
