New stroke procedure trial aims to save brain function

NCT ID NCT07336927

Not yet recruiting Disease control Sponsor: Bo Wu Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This international trial will test whether a specialized procedure to remove a blood clot is better than standard medication alone for treating a specific type of stroke. It will involve over 600 adults who have had a stroke caused by a blockage in a medium-sized brain artery and who cannot receive the standard clot-busting drug. The main goal is to see if the procedure helps more people recover with little to no disability.
