New tech aims to help stroke survivors swallow safely again

NCT ID NCT07492719

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a visual feedback screen to standard swallowing exercises helps stroke patients recover their ability to swallow more effectively. About 34 adults who have had a stroke in the last 6 months and have swallowing problems will try exercises with or without the visual feedback. The goal is to see if the visual feedback leads to better muscle control and safer swallowing.
