First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether watching actions (action observation therapy) or using a mirror to create the illusion of movement (mirror therapy) can help people who had a stroke regain arm and hand function. 44 adults who had a stroke 1 to 6 months earlier took part. The goal was to see which therapy works better for long-term recovery of fine motor skills.
