NCT ID NCT04130503

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a PAP machine (a device that helps keep airways open during sleep) can improve recovery in people who have had a stroke and also have moderate to severe sleep apnea. About 360 participants will be randomly assigned to receive PAP therapy or usual care. The main goal is to see if PAP treatment leads to better daily functioning and less disability after a stroke.
