Heart plug trial offers hope for stroke prevention without blood thinners

NCT ID NCT06580275

Summary

This study is testing a small implant called the CLAAS device that gets placed in the heart to help prevent strokes in people with atrial fibrillation. The device is designed to seal off a small pouch in the heart where blood clots often form. Researchers are checking if this procedure is safe and effective for people who can't take long-term blood thinners due to bleeding risks or other concerns.
