Scientists map hidden muscle damage after stroke
NCT ID NCT07314918
Summary
This study aimed to understand how stroke changes the structure of a key leg muscle (tibialis anterior) that helps lift the foot. Researchers used ultrasound to compare muscle measurements between the weak and strong legs of 36 stroke survivors. They wanted to see if these physical muscle changes relate to how well people can walk and recover after a stroke.
