Summary
This study tests a new drug called Fortelyzin to see if it can help people who have had a stroke recover better. The drug is given as a single shot up to 24 hours after stroke symptoms begin. About 990 adults with a specific type of stroke will be randomly assigned to get either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more people can function independently 90 days later.
