First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a new drug called Fortelyzin to see if it can improve recovery in people who have had a stroke caused by a blood clot. The drug is given as a single injection 4.5 to 24 hours after stroke symptoms begin. About 990 adults with a blocked artery in the brain will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more people achieve a good functional outcome (able to carry out daily activities) 90 days later.
