Ancient remedy tested in modern stroke trial

Summary
This study is testing whether a traditional Chinese medicine called Bovis Calculus Stativus can help stroke patients who have impaired consciousness (reduced alertness). Researchers will give the medicine or a placebo to 220 stroke patients for 5 days, alongside standard stroke care. The main goal is to see if the medicine safely improves consciousness levels and recovery outcomes over 90 days.
