New stroke treatment could help patients with smaller clots

Summary
This study compares a procedure to remove blood clots from smaller brain arteries (endovascular thrombectomy) with standard medical care for people who have had a stroke. About 584 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see if the procedure leads to better recovery and less disability after 90 days.
