Could a lifesaving stroke drug be safe for millions on blood thinners?
NCT ID NCT06241677
Summary
This study aims to find out if a standard clot-busting drug (IV thrombolysis) is safe and effective for stroke patients who are already taking newer blood thinners (DOACs). Current guidelines often prevent these patients from receiving this time-sensitive treatment. Researchers will enroll 260 stroke patients in Hong Kong to compare recovery and bleeding risks between those who receive the drug and similar patients who do not.
