90-Hour therapy vs video games: which helps stroke survivors regain arm function?

NCT ID NCT05527262

Summary

This study tested whether two different intensive arm rehabilitation programs could help people with long-term stroke effects improve arm movement and function. 105 stroke survivors who had their stroke at least 6 months earlier were randomly assigned to either a 90-hour physical therapy program, an interactive gaming program, or usual care. Researchers measured arm impairment, function, and quality of life to see which approach worked better.
