Scientists probe brain pathways to unlock arm recovery after stroke

NCT ID NCT06998485

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain changes when people recover arm movement after a stroke. Researchers will enroll 50 people who had a stroke 3-6 months ago and have moderate to severe arm weakness. Participants will either receive intensive arm training or usual care, and the team will use brain scans and movement tests to see how therapy affects brain pathways.
