NCT ID NCT06130371

First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at how stress and inflammation affect the brains of women with major depressive disorder (MDD) or premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Researchers will compare brain activity, stress hormones, and immune markers in 75 naturally cycling women (ages 18-40) across three groups: those with MDD, those with PMDD, and healthy controls. The goal is to better understand what makes these conditions different and how stress plays a role.
