Summary
This pilot study tested a lifestyle program for African American women who care for a family member with Alzheimer's or related dementia and also have high blood pressure. The program focused on stress management, healthy eating, and physical activity to help lower blood pressure and improve quality of life. 28 women completed the study, and researchers measured changes in blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels.
