First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study compares two non-invasive tests for coronary heart disease: a CT scan of the heart arteries versus a heart ultrasound combined with a neck artery ultrasound. The goal is to see which approach better detects both minor and severe blockages, helping doctors choose the right treatment. 2,000 adults with suspected heart disease will be randomly assigned to one test and followed for 5 years.
