New heart test could spot hidden heart failure
NCT ID NCT06927973
Summary
This study tested whether adding specific measurements during a standard exercise heart ultrasound (stress echocardiogram) could help doctors more accurately diagnose a type of heart failure. It involved 30 adults over 50 who were getting the test for unexplained shortness of breath or chest pain. The goal was to see if this improved method could identify patients with a 'stiff heart' condition that is often missed.
