First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a simple stress ball can help people feel less pain and anxiety during a common kidney stone treatment called ESWL. 64 adults having their first ESWL session were asked to squeeze a stress ball during the procedure. Researchers measured their pain, anxiety, and satisfaction levels to see if this cheap, non-drug method makes the experience better.
