Direct belly chemo tested in fight against advanced stomach cancer

Summary
This study is testing if adding a chemotherapy drug (paclitaxel) directly into the abdominal cavity, along with standard chemotherapy given through a vein, works better than standard chemotherapy alone for people with stomach cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either the standard treatment or the standard treatment plus the direct abdominal chemotherapy. The main goals are to see if the new approach helps control the cancer longer and helps people live longer.
