Could a simpler stomach cancer surgery be just as good?

Summary
This study is for people with stomach cancer who need surgery to remove part or all of their stomach. It compares two ways of doing the surgery: one removes a fatty tissue called the omentum, and the other leaves it in place. The main goal is to see if leaving the omentum is just as good for patient survival over three years, and if it leads to fewer complications after surgery.
