First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how many people with suspected hemorrhagic proctosigmoiditis (a type of bowel inflammation) actually have a sexually transmitted infection like chlamydia or gonorrhea. Researchers will test 214 patients in Denmark during their routine endoscopy. The goal is to find out how common these STIs are in this group, which could change how doctors diagnose and treat the condition.
