First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares a simple injection of sterile water under the skin to intravenous morphine for treating severe pain from kidney stones. About 150 adults with confirmed kidney stones and significant pain will receive either one or four water injections or morphine. The goal is to see if the water injection works as well as morphine within 30 minutes, offering a low-cost, low-side-effect option for emergency pain relief.
