Simple water shots challenge powerful painkiller for agonizing kidney stones

NCT ID NCT07378904

Summary

This study tests if simple water injections under the skin can relieve the severe pain of kidney stones as well as the standard morphine injection. Researchers are comparing one or four water shots to a single morphine dose in 150 adults. The main goal is to see if the water method provides similar pain relief within 30 minutes, but with potentially fewer side effects.
