First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether asking advanced cancer patients to fill out a symptom questionnaire online before their doctor visit could help connect them to palliative care sooner. 40 adults with stage IV cancer participated, completing surveys about their quality of life and symptoms over 6 months. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and to understand why patients might accept or decline a palliative care referral.
