Step training may prevent falls after trips in seniors
NCT ID NCT05734443
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether a simple step training program can help older adults (ages 65-80) recover their balance after tripping. Thirty participants did step training, treadmill training, or no training for three weeks, then experienced a lab-induced trip. The goal was to see if the training improved their ability to avoid falling. Results will show if this low-tech approach works as well as specialized treadmill training.
