Brain stent trial aims to save vision from skull pressure
NCT ID NCT05707442
Summary
This study is testing whether implanting a small stent to open a narrowed vein in the brain is better than standard medications at treating a condition where pressure builds up inside the skull. The high pressure can cause severe headaches and permanent vision loss. Researchers will enroll 74 patients and randomly assign them to receive either the stent procedure or medication, then track their vision, headaches, and pressure levels over 6 months.
