Double stent strategy may prevent gallbladder attacks in High-Risk patients

NCT ID NCT07222527

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether placing two small drainage tubes (stents) into the gallbladder is more effective than one stent at preventing repeat gallbladder attacks in people who cannot have their gallbladder removed. About 30 adults with gallbladder inflammation or pain will be randomly assigned to receive one or two stents during an endoscopic procedure. Researchers will track who has fewer recurrences and complications over six months.
