First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding specially grown umbilical cord stem cells to a standard bone marrow transplant can improve outcomes for people with severe aplastic anemia, a serious condition where the bone marrow stops making enough blood cells. About 40 participants aged 6 to 60 will receive the experimental treatment and be monitored for side effects, graft-versus-host disease, and survival. The goal is to make transplants safer and more effective.
