First-in-Human trial tests stem cells to restore ovarian function
NCT ID NCT06578039
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of a single injection of donor umbilical cord stem cells in women with premature ovarian insufficiency (early menopause). Six participants received either a low or high dose to check for side effects and see if the treatment might affect hormone levels or menstrual cycles. The main goal was to find the highest safe dose and understand how the body reacts to the cells.
