Stem cell shot tested to restore ovarian function

NCT ID NCT06578039

Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a single injection of stem cells from donated umbilical cords in women with premature ovarian insufficiency (early menopause). Six women aged 25-40 received either a low or high dose to check for side effects. Researchers also looked for early signs that the treatment might help restore ovarian hormone levels and menstrual cycles.
