Could your own fat cells slow Alzheimer's? new trial investigates

NCT ID NCT06775964

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether stem cells taken from a patient's own body fat can reduce harmful inflammation in the brain and slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will give 12 adults with early memory problems four infusions of their processed stem cells over 12 weeks. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and if it lowers brain inflammation, improves brain activity, and delays Alzheimer's progression.
