Personal stem cells tested to heal damaged brains

NCT ID NCT05951777

Summary

This study is testing whether stem cells taken from a patient's own fat tissue can help the brain heal after a serious head injury. Researchers will give three infusions of these cells to 51 adults who have had a brain injury for more than six months, to see if it improves their thinking, daily function, and reduces brain inflammation. The main goal is to check if the treatment is safe and to look for signs that it might help with recovery.
