Summary
This study tests whether giving two chemotherapy drugs (clofarabine and melphalan) before a donor stem cell transplant can prevent leukemia from returning in patients whose cancer is in remission. The approach aims to kill any remaining cancer cells and help the donor cells take hold. The trial includes 72 adults with acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia.
