First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving two chemotherapy drugs (clofarabine and melphalan) before a donor stem cell transplant can help prevent leukemia from coming back in patients whose disease is in remission. The approach aims to kill remaining cancer cells and prepare the body for the transplant with fewer side effects than standard treatments. The trial includes 72 adults with certain types of leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome who are eligible for transplant.
