First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of stem cells from donated umbilical cords can help people recover motor function after an ischemic stroke. About 86 adults who had a stroke 2 weeks to 3 months ago will receive either the stem cells or a placebo. The main goal is to see if the treatment improves arm and leg movement.
