Summary
This early-phase study tested whether a single intravenous dose of stem cells from human umbilical cord tissue is safe for people who had an ischemic stroke 3 to 6 months earlier. 18 participants were monitored for side effects and early signs of improvement in daily function. The main goal was safety, not proof of effectiveness.
