First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether stem cells from umbilical cords are safe and can help people with liver damage caused by hepatitis B. About 20 adults aged 18-60 with moderate to severe cirrhosis will receive the stem cell treatment. The main goal is to check safety and see if liver function improves, but this is not a cure.
